You stepped back into your original time from your adventure, landing gently on the hard concrete of the
basement floor but still stinging your feet slightly. Thoughts of the humorous, silver haired general still were
easily reflecting themselves through your mind. He meant well, as best as you could tell but still, the twisted
expressions of the poor victims as they lay dying, stuck out in your mind the clearest. The horror that flashed
through their eyes as they came in contact with the last thing they would ever witness. So many died that day,
all fighting for their own reasons, their own freedoms, and those special to them. Tears were brought to your
eyes as you felt the breeze sting your skin as your rode with the general, Gilbert, bravely through battle. As you
instinctively reached up to wipe the escaping tears away, your fingers felt something thicker than thin, wet
tears. You brought your fingers closer to realize it was blood. Pure, crimson blood. A slight shiver slithered up
your spine as you shook your head swiftly, as if trying to drive the thoughts out of your mind. You hugged
yourself tightly, mentally creating an invisible barrier that you'd hoped would help you forget about the fear
everyone has, but never speaks of - death.

Taking long strides, you meandered up the winding steps and locked the basement door behind you. You glanced
around the barely bustling museum and began to wander through the familiar exhibits. Examining through
each one, yet finding nothing different than the last time, a yawn escaped your lips as the boredom started to set
in. Deciding to leave your safe haven of history, you finished your last waltz through the aisle and headed for
the giant double doors. You glided down the stone steps and onto the hard cement sidewalk. The sun was
radiating brilliant rays that provided some warmth, but the cool, autumn breeze still was stronger and sent
chills throughout your entire body. You placed your hands in the security of your hoodie jacket, protecting them
from the sting of the changing weather. Your eyes wandered to the cracks in the sidewalk, secretly trying to
distract your mind from.. Other thoughts.

A sharp cry broke you from your daze as you instinctively began sprinting towards the sound that was coming
from a nearby park. As you turned the corner towards the entrance, a silver haired man zoomed past you
chasing what looked like.. a yellow bird?
"Gilbird! You bring that back right now! My awesome legs can't go as fast as you can fly!" he managed between
heaved breaths as he continued down the street and eventually vanished from your view.
Glancing back to where the odd man have come from, you noticed a small book on the bench nearby. Curiosity
began to slowly corrupt your mind, as a devious smirk crossed your lips.
"One peek couldn't hurt.."
Shifting your eyes from left to right, making extra sure that there was no one else in the park to view your
display, you cautiously sauntered towards the book. As you reached it, you just stood next to the bench, trying
to seem completely normal. Then, in one motion, you snatched the book and ran for the largest tree in the
middle of the park.

As you came to an abrupt halt in front of the large trunk of the tree, you lowered your head and tried to regain
your breath while still clutching the blue, leather bound book. The gentle breeze blew the now changing leaves,
swaying them back and forth as if leading them in a dance. Flopping clumsily onto the ground, you leaned up
against the rough bark of the tree, and undid the strap that held the book entitled, The Great Prussia's Diary.
The beginning, extremely faded pages told the story of the founding out Prussia and the adventures of the
Teutonic Knights. Personal accounts from the author that, frankly should not exist anymore. Your eyes widened
in astonishment, as you carefully turned the pages, your heart pounding in excitement. The stories told of the
struggles between the alliance of Poland and Lithuania, the founding and falling of kingdoms, and lastly, the
Austro-Prussian War. This especially intrigued you. You scanned through the recounting, growing tired of
rereading the overused word "awesome" until, you found something you did not expect. Your eyes flew over the
word over and over again, there was no denying it. Your name was in this book.

As you read more, the recollection given, was in fact, the exact same battle you had just witnessed. You shut the
book and began to place all the pieces of the puzzle together. A book about Prussia, your name, and the silver
haired man who spoke with an obvious accent.. There was only one explanation for that and that was-
Heavy footsteps crunched the leaves on the ground in front of you. Slowly glancing up, you realized who they
belonged to.
"So, you were the one who ran off with my diary," the familiar voice spoke.
There before you, stood the exact replica of the silver haired general from nearly one hundred fifty years before.
He still had the same crimson eyes as you remember, only they were no longer filled with a fighting spirit. In
contrast, these eyes were gentle, calming almost. Knowing you were caught, you handed the diary back to the
man, then added with a smirk, "I thought diaries were only for silly junior high girls.."
He snatched the book out of your fingers. "That is not true! I have been writing in this diary since time began!"
"I hardly see how that's possible, seeing as though you only look like you're in your early twenties."
He gave no reply, only turning his focus away from you.
"There's no way you were actually there, were you?" you questioned.
His deep red eyes shifted back to you, then they widened as he began to look strangely at you.
"(Name)?"
You grinned and surprised the Prussian with a quick hug. "Gilbert! It really is you!"
"Yes, frau, it is the awesome me. Who else would you expect?"
You pulled away from him and gave a small giggle. "How did you stay alive all these years, I mean, it doesn't
even seem possible."
"Well, (name), the awesome me-"
You burst out into laughter as something white fell from the sky and landed on Gilbert's shoulder. He gave a
small cry of disgust as a little yellow bird glided on the breeze and took its perch on Gilbert's other shoulder
with a victorious chirp.
"Gilbird! That is so not awesome.."
Ask, and you shall receive! So, you all wanted the awesome Prussia, and here he is! I hope it's okay.. I didn't have too many ideas for him. Image was found on Google and belongs to its rightful owner.

Have they not questioned how their female companion just appeared out of nowhere hundred years after their meeting?
